Professor Jessica Beckman has been awarded a Barbara Thom Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Henry E. Huntington Library in San Marino, CA. She will be spending the '23-'24 academic year in residence at the library finishing her book manuscript, entitled The Kinetic Text, which offers a new account of early modern poetics based on the tactile, spatial, and discontinuous ways that readers engage their books.
