A Tribute to Isaac Babel

Please join the department for two events celebrating the work of the short story writer Isaac Babel.

    The film will be screened at 7 pm in Dartmouth Hall 105

The department of English and Creative Writing is hosting two events on Tuesday, January 23 in Dartmouth 105 celebrating the work of the great story writer Isaac Babel.

 

At 4:30 pm his grandson, celebrated writer, director and actor Andrei Malaev-Babel, will perform three classic stories by Isaac Babel, followed by a Q&A with Professor Peter Orner. Professor Ainsley Morse will introduce the event.

At 7:00 pm there will be a screening of the film Finding Babel, with an introduction from Samantha Davidson Green, the executive director of Junction Arts Media (JAM).

 

Light refreshments will be provided.
