Poetry & Prose: Kiran Desai on May 27

Please join the English and Creative Writing Department and Asian Societies, Cultures, and Languages Program on May 27 at 4:45 pm (ET) for a reading with Kiran Desai, whose novel The Inheritance of Loss received the Man Booker Prize.

Desai is the author of two novels, Hullabaloo in the Guava Orchard for which she received the Betty Trask prize, and The Inheritance of Loss for which she received the Man Booker Prize and the National Book Critics Circle Award. Her work has been translated into over 35 languages. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim fellowship, a fellowship from the American Academy in Berlin and a Columbia University Medal of Excellence.
