Persepolis: An animated film of Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel

A screening of the film in conjunction with Satrapi's visit to campus tomorrow.

Based on Satrapi's graphic novel about her life in pre and post-revolutionary Iran and then in Europe. The film traces Satrapi's growth from child to rebellious, punk-loving teenager against the backdrop of the Iranian revolution. The film was co-winner of the Jury Prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
