2020 Creative Writing Awards with Carlos Andrés Gómez

Due to COVID-19, the annual undergraduate creative writing awards have moved online. Over 90 students submitted their work for prizes in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction which will be judged by Carlos Andrés Goméz, author of the poetry collection Fractures (University of Wisconsin Press, 2020), the chapbook Hijito (Platypus Press, 2019), and the memoir Man Up: Reimagining Modern Manhood (Penguin Random House, 2012). Prize winners will be announced on the Department of English and Creative Writing website on Thursday, May 21, 2020. The department would like to congratulate all of the students who entered their work during this challenging time.
