Named the forty-third Dartmouth Poet-in-Residence at the Frost Place for summer 2019, Matthew Minicucci will be developing a third collection at the intersection of soundscapes, disability, and the American West. While at the Willapa Bay AiR residency this June, he will be drafting pages for a novel following three students as they employ their Greek translation skills to find a missing professor. Minicucci returns to poetry in his second year as an Artist-in-Residence with the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument in November, and then on fellowship with the James Merrill House this coming January. With poetry and essays appearing in Alaska Quarterly Review, The Believer, the Gettysburg Review, Oregon Humanities, The Southern Review, and the Virginia Quarterly Review, Minicucci has received numerous fellowships and awards, including the C. Hamilton Bailey Oregon Literary Fellowship and the Stanley P. Young Fellowship in Poetry from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. Previous works include the poetry collections, Reliquary (Accents Publishing, 2013), Translation (Kent State University Press, 2015) and Small Gods (New Issues Press, 2017).

Matthew Minicucci's reading will be held Monday, August 12th, 2019 in the Sanborn Library at 4:30pm.

The Sanborn Library is located on the first floor of Sanborn House, 19 N. Main Street, Hanover, New Hampshire. The entrance to Sanborn House can be seen to the left of the Baker Library entrance when facing the bell tower from the Dartmouth Green. There is a ramp entrance to the Sanborn Library available at the connecting walkway between the Baker Library and Sanborn House main entrances.
